FIGURE 8 RACING

  1. Drivers must have a valid state issued driver’s license or ID Card .
  2. Drivers under the age of 18 must have a consent form signed by parent or legal guardian at the time of registration.
  3. All drivers must complete registration and waiver forms at the time of registration.
  4. Registration opens at 8 am and close at 2pm. the day of the event. No Late cars. IF YOU ARE NOT INSPECTED ON TIME YOU WILL NOT RUN
  5. All drivers and crew must attend the driver’s meeting at 2:30pm the day of the event.
  6. Anyone in the pit area must wear a wristband that will be given to you when all required waivers are signed.
  7. Each competitor will be allowed one truck and trailer/service vehicle in the pit area. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Drivers and crew will register and pay at the pit gate and will be inspected in the pit area.

  1. Alcohol is prohibited in the pits. Any speculation of drugs or alcohol use in the pits will result in an automatic disqualification and removal from the pit area.
  2. NO DELIBERATE DRIVER’S DOOR HITS!!!  A deliberate hit will result in disqualification from the current event being run. THIS IS A RACE, YOU BE BUMP, PUSH SHOVE, SPIN SOMEONE AROUND HOWEVER THIS IS NOIT A BANGER RACE, NO DELIBERATE HITTING TO INCAPACITATE ANOTHER VEHICLE.  
  3. When a driver is in the vehicle the safety belt must be fastened, DOT approved helmet with face shield or safety goggles must be worn.
  4. A 5 MPH speed limit will be enforced anywhere on the grounds when not on the track.
  5. All vehicles are subject to re-inspection at any time.
  1. The driver may signal for medical attention by waving their hands. This action will result in a red flag and stop the race. Medical attention will be provided
  2. Officials may require modifications to a vehicle at any time for safety reasons or rules.
  3. All cars should come prepared. There will be no stripping of cars in the pit area. All drivers will be responsible for leaving with what you brought to the track.
  4. The officials ruling or decision is final. Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in immediate disqualification and removal from grounds. Drivers are responsible for their crew member’s actions.   
  5. ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS INCLUDING WINDSHIELDS. LOOSE DEBRIS MUST BE VACCUMED OUT. All trim and side molding, mechanical fans, loose parts, and air bags must be removed. DASH MAY REMAIN HOWEVER ALL OTHER FLAMABLE PLATIC, CARPET, MOLDING MUST BE REMOVED. THIS IS FOR YOUR SAFETY AND FIRE PREVENTION. HEADLIGHTS, TAILIGHTS PLASTIC BUMPER COVERS MUST BE REMOVED. 
  6. Mesh wire must be placed in the driver’s side of the windshield 
  7. A 12” x 12” hole must be cut in hood and free of obstructions for fire protection. HOOD MUST BE SECURED IN 6 SPOTS!
  8. Battery may remain in factory location or be securely mounted to the floor. IF BATTERY REMAINS UNDER HOOD, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU WRAP A PIECE OF RUBBER OVER BATTERN TO AVOID ARCHING IF HOOD BENDS DOWN ONTO BATTERY
  9. Gas tank may remain in factory location or be relocated to the rear passenger seat and securely mounted. IF MOVING TANK INSIDE OF VEHICLE IT MUST BE A PRESSURE TESTED AFTERMARKET FUEL CELL, NO PLASTIC TANKS OF OEM TANKS INSIDE CAR
  10. Driver’s door protection is MANDATORY for race events. If you have a passenger their door must have protection. Driver door MAY EITHER BE PROTECTED INSIDE OF OUTSIDE MEANING YOU CAN HAVE INTERIOR 4 POINT CAGE MAX OF 2X6” MATERIAL WITH DASH BAR AND REAR SEAT BAR AND 2 SIDE BARS. OUTSIDE DOOR YOU MAY BOLT GUARD RAIL TO DOOR COVERING BOTH FRONT DOOR SEAMS. SQUARE STOCK MAY ALSO BE USED WE RECOMMEND A MINIMUM OF 2X2” SQUARE STOCK.  IF WELDED, IT MUST BE DONE SO IN AT LEAST 10” TOP AND 10” BOTTOM.  IF BOLTED THE BOLTS MUST BE AT LEAST 1/2”. A MINIMUM OF REAR SEAT BAR IS RECOMMENDED FOR YOUR SAFETY
  11. ALL DOORS MUST BE SECURED WITH WELD OF CHAIN.  ALL DOORS IN ALL CLASS ARE PERMITTED TO BE WELDED SOLID IF DESIRED. A MINUMIM OF 4 SPOTS PER DOOR MUST BE SECURED.  NO SEEM TO SEEM DIRECT WELDING.  3/8” CHAIN OR  DOUBLE STRANDED 9 WIRE IN 4 SPOTS PER DOOR MINIMUM.  
  12. Roll over protection is suggested,you may use 2 vertical pipes bolted behind front seats. They can be either square or round no bigger then 4”x4” or 3” round. You may use a 10”x10” plate welded top and bottom.
  13. All race classes must have an approved racing window net on driver’s side. If having a passenger the same will be required on their window. No wire, snow fence, or permanent net will be allowed, it must be removable for safety purposes.
  14. Drivers must have stock fully functional seat belts or approved racing harness, if having a passenger the same is required.  
  15. Front bumpers may be replaced if missing with a hollow square tubing no larger than 4”x 4” x ⅜ thick. It may not extend past the outside of the factory WIDTH OF vehicles. Front and rear bumpers can be a minimum of 15” high and a maximum of 24” high measured from the ground to the bottom of the bumper. There can only be a difference of 3” between front and rear bumpers.  No sharp edges allowed. BUMPERS MAY BE WELDED FAST
  16.  Radiator protection may be used on front bumpers it may be no higher than 8” and no wider than the bumper mounts. 2” x 2” ⅜ square hollow tubing will be the max.

For scoring purposes a 24” x 24” number plate must be mounted vertical on the roof of the vehicle. Number MUST be easily read and contrasting colors. (maximum 3 numbers for the car number can be used)  

  1. FRONT FRAME SECTIONS MAY BE REINFORCED A ARMS FORWARD OF STRUT TOWERS FORWARD TO PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY TO RUN MULTIPLE SHOWS. AGAIN THIS IS NOT A DEMOLITION DERBY THEREFORE, THIS IS TO MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF THE VEHICLE, NOT TO INFLICT DAMAGE ON OTHER VEHICLES.  
  2. Additional P/U Truck rules:
  3. Tailgates must be welded, chained, or removed.  
  4. No running boards, push bars, nerf rails, utility boxes, or trailer hitches
  5. Beds must be fastened to frame in 4 additional places by either chain, bolts, or weld.
  6. Short Track FIGURE 8:
  7. Compact: Any domestic or import 4 or 6 cylinder engine with a wheelbase of 108” and under. No convertibles. 
  8. Full Size: Any domestic or import 6 or 8 cylinder engine 2wd car with uni-body frame construction and a wheelbase of 109 and over”. No convertibles.
  9. Heavy Weight: Any domestic or import 4,6,or 8 cylinder engine 2wd and all 4wd vehicles, full frame cars, p/u trucks, and SUV’s with a wheelbase over 108”. P/U Trucks must be single rear wheel with a GVW of ½ ton or less with a maximum bumper height of 24” from ground to the bottom of the bumper. No convertibles.
